This saturated Kunzite was hand carved by me into a heart shaped pendant. It has a nice flashy effect at the bottom side of the stone. I obtained this stone from Stone Haven Gems, and it was the only one I was able to work with, so it is quite special. All the Kunzite I have worked with in the past have chipped away on me, as if I am working with glass. It is because of the structure of the stone - I need to carve it in a particular way so it doesn't do that - or use Opticon or another chemical fracture sealant to keep it in place. I do not know if this particular tumble contained it, but I do know that in the past, with those things I usually smell a particular smell when I carve them, and this stone did NOT have that smell.
