This Rhodonite has been hand carved by me to fit onto this hair clip!
This stone originates from Australia and has little sparkly flakes throughout! The pink in Australian material seems super saturated compared to some other locations that produce it. In 2019 a new subgroup was named Vittinkiite for a Calcium-poor Rhodonite. This was originally found in Finland. Another subgroup is called Ferrorhodonite, which seems to display more brownish colouring from an Iron substitution that forms.
In order to keep the longevity of this clip, I would suggest not wearing it in water or in wet hair!
The stone is epoxied onto the hair clip which is 2.16" x 0.59" (5.5 x 1.5 cm) and is made of Rhodium.
This crystal is one of a kind, crafted on a lapidary machine by myself. Stone shown in the pictures is the one you will receive.
