This Cobalto Calcite was hand carved by me into a diamond shape. One side raw and the remainder is polished. Super saturated, this piece is from the Democratic Republic of Congo. Cobalto Calcite is simply named for the inclusions of Cobalt within the Calcite that give it the pink colour.
