This stone is from Greenland and I bought raw straight from the miner! Usually found in sodalite-bearing Pegmatites, it is commonly found with sodalite, and fluorescent sodalite, called Hackmanite. Though Ussingite itself, is not fluorescent. This piece in particular I have been saving because it is a perfect pink and has a lot of sparkle. I thought it was too nice to carve up for how little I would be able to get out of this odd shape, and so I saved it for my private collection.
