This stone originated from near Lake Baikal Russia. This mine opened in 1851 and has been producing this light coloured stone in a variety of arts like vases. Lazurite makes an appearance in Lapis Lazuli, along with pyrite and other minerals. This Lazurite though, I believe, contains dolomite, which gives it the weight and the white streaks throughout. I bought this stone for the light blue that reminded me of drawing clouds as a kid. Want to know more? Check out this site: https://www.mindat.org/min-2357.html
