This Tugtupite freeform cabochon was hand carved by myself -- This stone originates from Greenland. Tugtupite is named after the area in which it was discovered (Tugtup Agtâkorfia). It is a member of the Helvine group which is  a subgroup of the Sodalite group. This stone is interesting because it fluoresces under black light, and is also tenebrescent, which makes the pink change to a brighter colour. The pink is the actual Tugtupite, which is embedded in the host rock which is Albite (white) and I think Aegirine (black).
A similar stone is Hackmanite, which basically reserved for fluorescent sodalites, in which the Fluorescent Mineral groups have coined for some time.
